The Lynn Theater was originally built as a movie Theater and was opened in 1947, in Gonzales Texas. Two years ago and with much community involvement, the Lynn was saved from being sold and turned into apartments. The Lynn Theater Group purchased the Lynn Theater in March of 2024 and is in the process of renovating the current space and are eager for an opening early December, 2024.

The Lynn is located in the historic town of Gonzales, Texas which is the birthplace of Texas Independence. Gonzales is a major tourist draw because of its history and significance to the Alamo and the creation of the State of Texas. The Lynn and its iconic marquee is a beacon for the downtown and will be an important part of the revitalization and growth of Gonzales. The community is ecstatic to see the Lynn reopen and can’t wait to see movies shown there again.
